Q: What made you want to pursue a career in the arts?
A: Drawing is the only thing I was ever good at, so I never thought to pursue anything else.
Q: Where did you go to school?
A: I attended the Hartford Art School’s BFA in illustration program and graduated in 2012 and then a few years later I attended The Low Residency MFA in Illustration program at The Hartford Art School and graduated in 2017.
Q: Do you have any advice for students trying to pursue a career in illustration?
A: Show up everyday and draw a lot, 80% of success is showing up.
Q: Will you guest speak at my school or college?
A: Absolutely, I love to do hands on demonstrations, and I bring a lot of original artwork for the students to view. Contact me here or by email Dillonsdrawing@gmail.com and we will set something up!
Q: Do you accept commissioned projects?
A: Yes and No, send me an email with your idea, and I might take you up on the offer!
Q: If you do accept my commissioned project, what type of payment methods do you accept?
A: I only use Paypal, so everything Paypal accepts.
Q: Who are some of your art heroes?
A: I love the works of Akira Toriyama, Moebius, Hayao Miyazaki, Mike Mignola, Bill Watterson and Ian McQue!
